Get involved and share your story
KEY has worked diligently to connect with local legislators to help them be educated on how legislation impacts our public schools.
Many people will ask, "what can I do to help?" Our answer often is to share your story and your experiences with our local legislators so that they can appropriately represent Montana's desires for a strong public education system.

KEY was one of only eleven community/parent groups selected to advise the state legislature on it's decennial review of funding.
The Montana School Funding Decennial Commission (or School Funding Interim Commission, or SFIC) is a specialized legislative committee mandated by statute to meet every ten years to review, analyze, and make recommendations regarding the funding formula for Montana's K-12 public schools.
